Privacy policy.
NAVCOR Logistics, LLC ("NAVCOR", "we", "us") respects the privacy of everyone we work with. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it across three contexts: visitors to www.navcor.co, business contacts who correspond with us, and authorized users of NAVCOR Observer™, our operations platform, including recipients of our operational SMS notifications.
1. This website
www.navcor.co is an informational website. It has no user accounts, no contact forms, and no e-commerce. We do not set cookies and we do not use analytics or advertising trackers. Email and telephone links on the site open your own mail or phone application; nothing is transmitted to us until you choose to send it. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp) for security and capacity purposes.
2. Business contacts
If you email or call us, we collect the information you choose to share — typically your name, organization, contact details, and the substance of your inquiry. We use it to respond and to manage the business relationship. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. NAVCOR Observer platform
NAVCOR Observer is not a consumer product. Access is granted only to NAVCOR personnel, contracted subcontractor staff, government users, and authorized carrier or forwarder representatives working on covered cargo bookings. There is no public sign-up. For authorized users, we collect:
- Account information — name, work email address, employer or firm, and role within the program, provided when an account is provisioned by NAVCOR's program office.
- Phone numbers (optional) — collected only for users who consent to receive operational SMS alerts, stored in our notification system and used only to deliver the program messages described in our Terms.
- Operational data — observation forms, photographs, signatures, comments, and audit timestamps generated in the course of program duties.
- Authentication metadata — login timestamps, IP addresses for the duration of an active session, and the identity provider used to sign in.
4. How we use information
We use the information described above solely to:
- Operate the platform and deliver our contracted observation services.
- Route, sign, approve, and release observation certificates and supporting evidence.
- Send operational SMS alerts to users who have consented to receive them. Recipients can opt out at any time as described in our Terms.
- Maintain the audit trail required by our contracts and applicable federal recordkeeping obligations.
5. Information we do not share
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information — including phone numbers and SMS opt-in or consent data — will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We share operational data only:
- With the contracting government agency as required by the applicable observation contract — specifically, signed certificate packets and their supporting evidence.
- With the carrier, freight forwarder, and consignee parties named on a given booking, limited to the documents that relate to that booking.
- With service providers that help us run the platform — including Twilio, which delivers our SMS messages, and our infrastructure and identity providers — each bound by confidentiality and data-handling obligations and permitted to use the data only to provide their service to us.
6. Retention
Operational data is retained for the period required by the applicable contract and federal recordkeeping rules. Phone numbers used for SMS alerts are deleted within 30 days of a recipient opting out or being removed from the recipient roster by an authorized administrator. Business correspondence is retained as long as needed to manage the relationship.
7. Security
Access to platform data is scoped per stakeholder, per role, and per booking, on a least-privilege basis. Every entry in the operational record is attributed and timestamped, and changes leave an audit trail. Federated users sign in through their organization's single sign-on.
8. Your rights
You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, or request deletion (subject to the federal recordkeeping obligations described in Section 6). Contact us at info@navcor.co for any of these requests.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes affecting platform users will be communicated to active users before they take effect.
